couple of more snaps

I realized later that I have not posted a couple of snaps ..


The picture is after the event and one can realize the same seeing the tired faces..more the mother rather than the father for obvious ( apologetically ! ) reasons ..Please observe the beautiful bouganvilla flowers ( am sure i got the spelling wrong ), which have grown on the gazebo. The gazebo is actually turning out to be what I had initially in mind when we got this done ..








The picture on the right side is the actually birthday cake cutting session where Diya is trying to blow the '2 year' candle that she accomplished quite well..

Taking it further from my previous blog, Diya has cake cutting sessions everyday in her beloved park, where she makes a sand mound and cuts the same through her hand in an action akin to her having a Saw ( yes Saw ..the ones used by the carpenters ) ..I saw it one day and laughed out ..

Diya's second birthday

It has been a while since I blogged last and this time it is Diya's bday that has prompted me to blog..








This was a low scale birthday compared to her earlier birthday but am sure she would have enjoyed this more than her earlier birthday ..It was also real "cake cutting" birthday compared to her several cake cutting sessions in the park..





The party was restricted to immediate family members and Diya's friends in the immediate neighbourhood. A Nilgiri's cake, hot chips - chips, Saarang - Pav Bhaji, Shiv Sagar - samosa, Chocklates were the menu for the day..One thing that got missed out was the Gajar Halwa that Vaiju had eagerly prepared at home ..

The shopping included her princess new clothes and a new cycle ! ..











We recently sold our 20 year old scooter ( Bajaj Priya) for 1000/- and I bought a new cycle for Diya which costed 1600/- Isnt it Ironical that one can only exchange a old scooter for a new cycle for a two year old ??
